April 18th, 2025~Jesus Died To Set Us Free; We Can Live With God Eternally✨

Have a Blessed Good Friday with Jesus.✝️ Seek Him First. Meditate on John 19. While on the cross Jesus put His house in order; He asked John (the one who believed, and stayed faithful to the end) to take care of His mother. He said “I am thirsty.” And they put a sponge full of sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to His mouth. Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice for sin. The word translated “finished” also means “paid in full.”  Jesus came to finish God’s work of salvation (4:34; 17:4), to pay the full penalty for our sins.

With His death the old system of animal sacrifice ended; Jesus took all sin upon Himself. Now we can freely approach God because of what Jesus did for us.

Here’s the best part: Those who believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection can escape the penalty that comes from sin and live eternally with God.🙏🏾

“Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”
