Have a Blessed Wednesday with Jesus. Seek Him First.

Mediate on Amos 5. This is a book of warning against Israel: they were practicing religion, not living in obedience. Justice was absent from society. We must have faith in God and do good works.

We cannot worship God on Sunday and hate our neighbor on Monday; we can’t read our Bible in private and then oppress our brother in public. Martin Luther King Jr made this connection and quoted this Scripture in his “I Have a Dream” speech.

“But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!”

‭‭Amos‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

(Study from Tony Evans Bible Commentary)
