March 23rd, 2023~To Follow Christ; We Must Sacrifice & Serve

Have a Blessed Thursday with Jesus.✨Seek Him First. Jesus spoke to a man that loved his possessions more than serving and giving to others. This love of material things kept him from choosing to follow Christ.

If Jesus asked us to give up a promotion, money, our car, home or position, our reaction may show our attitude toward money—is it our servant or master?

This lesson doesn’t mean all believers should sell all their possessions. Most of Jesus’ first followers didn’t sell everything, but they used what they had to serve others. We must not let money or what we have keep us from following Jesus.

“Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.””
