Be very careful of stubborn and foolish pride. It is one of the sins God hates (Proverbs 16:5). Why? Most proud people live as though they don't need God. The pride-filled person is usually arrogant and has opposite traits than those that please God. Faith pleases God. Humility pleases God. When we are humble, we acknowledge it is not by our might or intelligence that we exist or have what we have; it is because of God's Grace and Mercy. If you notice that you are exhibiting prideful behavior....wait; most do not know they are prideful, because of their pride. Seriously, if you don't know, just pray and ask God Himself.
Ask Him to examine you. You will self destruct if you are full of pride and think God's commands don’t apply to you. Ask Him to create a clean heart and renew a right Spirit within you daily (Psalm 51:10).
Ask God to renew your mind to stop thinking like the world thinks (Romans 12:2). There is a big problem when you think you can live as a Christian and not receive correction from God when doing wrong. God corrects who He loves (Hebrews 12:6). And He loves us ALL.
“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”

"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited."
Romans 12:16 NIV
